Faits divers du jeudi 3 mai 2012
Un motocycliste a été victime d’un accident à la rue Francois Mitterand à Flacq quand une voiture a tapé contre son vehicule vers 16h50. Le bléssé est aux soins intensifs à l’Hopital de Flacq.

Flacq Police –Serious Road Accident
On 03.05.2012 at 1650 hrs, whilst motoring along Francois Mitterand Road, Flacq, a P/Car knocked against an oncoming m/cycle make Suzuki. The rider, A, 23 yrs residing at P/des Roches was seriously injured and is admitted to ICU Flacq Hospital. The car driver, Mr G, 59 yrs, was negatively alcootested.
1. Terre Rouge Police – Larceny on public road
On 03.05.2012 at 1305 hrs, Mrs V, 44 yrs, Clerk, residing at Goodlands reported that earlier at 1210 hrs, she was in company of her colleague, walking along Riche Terre Road near Fressemex Industry, when an unknown man on foot snatched her gold chain, worth about Rs. 7,000/- and bolted. She was not injured.
2. Plaine des Papayes Police – Larceny breaking
On 03.05.2012 at 1900 hrs, Mrs. S, 38 yrs, residing at Fond du Sac reported that during her absence between 0800 hrs and 1700 hrs on 03.05.2012 her house was broken into. Jewels and sum of Rs. 10,000 have been stolen from her wardrobe in her bedroom. Value stolen unknown so far.

3. Abercrombie Police – Larceny
On 03.05.2012 at 1430 hrs, Mrs. M, 66 yrs, residing at Ste. Croix reported that between 1900 hrs on 02.05.2012 and 0700 hrs on 03.05.2012, a manhole cover found in her yard has been stolen. Property of the Waste Water Authority.

4. St Pierre Police – Larceny with violence (Accused arrested)
On 03.05.2012 at 1440 hrs, following a phone call received at St Pierre Police Station to the effect that a youngster has been assaulted and victim of a theft at Petit Verger, Police repaired thereat and came across one A, student, residing at Montagne Blanche. Latter related that earlier at 1430 hrs after school hours, upon the request of his friend, residing at Petit Verger, he accompanied latter through a side road across a sugar cane field to proceed to latter’s place. En route, two hooded men emerged in front of them and under the threat of sabres, they snatched his golden chain, following which the malefactors as well as his friend bolted. The boy was slightly injured at his left hand and is admitted to PMOC.
On same day at 1640 hrs, CID Moka brought his friend to Quartier Militaire Police where latter confessed having in company of S, 22 yrs, mason and R, helper, both residing Petit Verger robbed the victim. The two suspects were later arrested and have also admitted their participation. They have all been released on parole. The golden chain, hoods and a sabre have been secured.
